After a great break from medical appointments over Christmas, we are feeling quite relaxed in this house. Ashling is continuing to love her independence, bum shuffling around the floor, free from oxygen prongs etc. She's trying really hard to talk, though most of it is gobbeldegook. "Dad Dad" still seems to be her favourite, with 'Dugga Dugga" a close second position. I rarely get a look in, despite any amount of "Mam Mam" brainwashing that's done! No appreciation whatsoever! Ha ha.
Otherwise, nothing much has changed though she's exploring more food than ever...just licking it mind you, but still this is progress!
I am attaching a recent video of her - hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. x

God bless this sweet angel! She's absolutely beautiful and has the sweetest spirit! Looks like she really enjoyed that ice cream!! You've inspired me to post Reece's booty-scooting video!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!!! I am delighted to see some of the O'Shea OCD coming through with all the cleaning up of the spilled ice cream!!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Siobhan and Katie
Bless you!

Look at those curls! It's great to see Ashling doing so well - best for you guys in 2009!
ReplyDeleteHaha - what a crackup! She must have really worked up a shine to the kitchen floor with all that spinning :)

Well lads, looks like Ashling is making fantastic progress. Great to see the Oxygen is no longer required. This must be a great relief to you all.
ReplyDeleteWell done forest - great time. You're the same time as the great Noel Daly for the dublin city marathon. I'd love to be able to do one myself but unfortunately the knees would not be up to it:). It's a great achievement to have. Even Lance armstrong reckons his marathon was harder than the tour de France!
After Mick's big news and his date coming up in 2010 it might be a good target date for all the Collins family to take a holiday back home.
take care.

hi hi to the three of you! great to her you doing so well! Honestly I think you have done such a great job coping with last year (I admire you all the more now that I know how much work looking after my own little nearly-three-month-old Freja is, without the medical problems you have had to worry about and clean up after! honestly, you are legends!!) All the best for 2009, I hope it is an easier year.
